For the Caribbean, are Court Bailiffs the only debt professionals around when the things go wrong? The banker gives the loan. The banker has no time to sit down with the client when life changes and the debt becomes problematic. And the lawyer is usually called in at the same time as the Court bailiff. So who helps the consumer straighten out the financial challenge???? The Caribbean Credit Repair Association (CCRA) has launched a series of training in Credit Restoration and Debt Healing to build the profession of debt management. Yes, the Caribbean is filled with lending professionals. What COVID 19 has shown is that we need a higher level of training for helping consumers handle their debt issues. While working in the financial sector, I realized that some clients got favorable treatment and others did not. It was about having someone available to call you and say do this and do that. Or move your money here or ask for this opportunity. I realized that if I had that kind of mentorship, it could make a real difference to my life. Never would I have guessed that having a child with special needs would propel my need for financial mentorship so quickly. As I learned, I shared with my clients. And now I open this training for you.
My role is to take you by the hand and make sense of what seems to be an overwhelming process. You can deep dive into our curriculum that guides you to financial empowerment!
